sustainable materials - for a better future!
In a world increasingly characterised by environmental problems and resource scarcity, sustainable materials are becoming more and more important. They play a crucial role in shaping a better future in which we use our resources more responsibly and minimise our impact on the environment.
Sustainable materials are characterised by their low environmental impact. They are produced in a way that conserves resources and have a positive impact on the climate, ecosystems and social aspects. In contrast to conventional materials, which are often associated with high energy consumption and environmentally harmful production processes, sustainable materials offer an alternative that is sustainable in the long term.
These materials are obtained from renewable resources or recycled, reducing the consumption of non-renewable raw materials. They are produced in compliance with environmental and social standards and contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, the preservation of biodiversity and the protection of natural habitats.
The use of sustainable materials is an essential part of a holistic and sustainable mindset. By consciously choosing these materials, we are setting an example for a better future in which we conserve our planet's limited resources and create a healthier environment for future generations.
Here you will find an overview of our sustainable materials and the related products.
Sustainable wood
Using sustainable and certified wood for our furniture is an important step towards environmental protection and sustainability. We recognise the importance of using resources responsibly and consciously choose wood from sustainable sources for our products.
We make sure that the wood for our furniture comes from certified sources that have been verified by independent organisations such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). These certifications ensure that the wood comes from forests that are managed according to environmentally, socially and economically sustainable principles.
By using certified wood for our furniture, we contribute to the preservation of biodiversity and promote the protection of plants and animals in the forests. In addition, we ensure that the forests are preserved in the long term and can fulfil their functions such as regulating the climate.
Another important aspect is that we combat illegal logging by using sustainable wood. We ensure that our wood comes from legal and sustainable sources and does not contribute to the overexploitation of forests. The traceability of the wood to the source is of great importance to us.
We also place great emphasis on considering social aspects when selecting our wood. This includes respecting the rights of local communities that depend on the forest and supporting fair working conditions for forest workers.
By using sustainable and certified wood for our furniture, we make a conscious and environmentally aware choice. We are regulating the wood trade, helping to protect forests and creating a more sustainable future. By making this choice, we can do our part to preserve the environment and use natural resources responsibly.

Reupholstery - turn old into new!
A key aspect of sustainability in reupholstering is the reduction of waste. Instead of completely replacing pieces of furniture, they can be reused by renewing the upholstery material. This leads to a significant reduction in the amount of waste that would otherwise be associated with the disposal of old furniture. In today's world, where environmental protection and waste avoidance play an increasingly important role, reupholstering is becoming an environmentally friendly alternative.
Another important point is resource efficiency. Reupholstering not only reduces the need for new furniture, but also minimises the use of raw materials. This is particularly relevant when it comes to high-quality furniture for the catering and hotel industry, where fine woods, metals and other high-quality materials are often used. Reusing the frames and structures of our sturdy products allows these resources to be utilised for longer, thus helping to conserve natural resources.
Many products in our portfolio can be covered with new materials, thus extending their service life.
If you need advice on how to renew your furniture, don't hesitate to ask our upholstery experts! We are available for you during our business hours at +49 8191 9194-250 or info@goin.eu.
In our in-house workshop, we can provide upholstered furniture with a new cover using staple gun and drawstring technology. We look forward to assisting you with the renewal of your furniture.
